The National Art School is a visual arts institute in Australia. The history of the School can be traced back to 1859. The School offers bachelors, honours and masters of fine art courses in areas such as art history & theory, ceramics, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. In addition, National Art School offers short courses and intensive programs such as the HSC Extension Course and Dobell Drawing School. The School is housed in the old Darlinghurst Gaol in Sydney, New South Wales.
