CIT's Accounting qualifications will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to work in a variety of finance jobs, ranging from administrative or budget officer, to advanced roles in the banking and financial industries.

Our Diploma-level course will develop work-ready skills that will give you the edge as you enter the workforce. The Advanced Diploma is highly respected by the business, banking and financial industries in Australia and will provide you with the combination of hands-on-training and comprehensive theoretical knowledge that you need to perform advanced accounting roles.

Industry Placement

Gain work experience with a guaranteed industry placement organised by CIT (1 day a week for 17 weeks). Graduates from this program will be ready to embark on, or continue with, successful careers in both the private and public sectors.

  • FNSACC608 Evaluate organisations financial performance
  • FNSTPB503 Apply legal principles in contract and consumer law
  • FNSTPB504 Apply legal principles in corporations and trust law
  • FNSTPB505 Apply legal principles in property law
  • BSBWOR501 Manage personal work priorities and professional development
  • BSBFIA401 Prepare financial reports
  • BSBITU402 Develop and use complex spreadsheets

Job outcome:

Professional accountant, banker, tax agent, financial manager, consulting and strategic business planning, small business advisor.

Pathway to Further Study:

Advanced Diploma of Accounting (FNS60217) = 36 credit points (1.5 years) towards UC's Bachelor of Accounting (MGB001.1) and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) (MGB301.1)

  • Students over the age of 20 may be eligible for adult entry

English requirements:

  • IELTS 5.5 (no band score less than 5.0)

  • Cambridge English test (C1 Advanced and B2 First) - 162
