They say that money makes the world go round. It’s true. No matter which organization you are working for the chances are they are earning, borrowing, spending, investing or moving money around the world. By studying our Bachelor of Commerce (Major: Finance) you will learn the ways in which people, institutions, markets, governments and countries manage their finances. Graduates can choose to work in the public sector, a private company or a not-for- profit organization.

With a focus on team-based learning and assessments that utilize real-world case studies, a Bachelor of Commerce with a Major in Finance equips you with the skills you need to succeed in the modern workforce. Designed to teach both technical and conceptual skills, this degree program covers everything from managerial finance and taxation to financial valuations and more.
You will learn and develop the analytical skills necessary to handle the planning, management, and control of a company’s financial resources, as well as the ability to evaluate the level of risk and return. And, at the end of the program, all graduates are eligible to join the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA), ensuring you are supported by an official industry body.
As part of your degree, you will be required to undertake 150 hours of practicum. Our Business Internship program includes seminars on career planning and professional development, as well as presentations by industry leaders from companies like ICM, Coca Cola Amatil and Microsoft.
