The newly designed Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) develops your problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills and incorporates project-based learning so you can graduate work ready.
The first year of your studies provides a generic understanding of engineering, allowing you to experience each different area of engineering before you choose a particular path to follow. Later in your studies you have the flexibility to choose to study Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic or Resource Systems Engineering.

Study the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) either full-time or part-time and on-campus or by online study. You may choose to study by online study while working in engineering, allowing you to earn and gain practical experience while you learn.
COURSE STRUCTURE
You are required to complete a total of 22 or 23 units including:
six core units
22 units from a selected plan in either Civil, Civil and Humanitarian, Electrical or Mechanical or 23 units from a selected plan in either Mechatronic or Resource Systems Engineering
one professional practice elective unit.

A secondary qualification (Year 11 or 12, or equivalent)
English language proficiency
An International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) overall band score of at least 6.0 overall with a minimum 6.0 for Reading and Writing and 6.0 for Speaking and Listening, or
An Occupational English Test with Grades A or B only in each of the four components.
TOEFL Internet-based: Overall score of 75 with no score less than 17; Pearson Test of English Academic: Overall score of 54 with no score less than 46; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) / Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE): Overall test score of 169 (with no individual band score of less than 162).
