Do you enjoy solving technical problems or using simple programming languages to create your own computer games and software materials? The computer science program will give you the skills and abilities to create and design large software systems.

In this program you will learn about the design, implementation, testing, evolution and maintenance of software systems. You will explore the areas of computer architecture, software science and development and human-computer interaction.

Sample Courses:

Web Oriented Programming, Risk and Reward in the Information Society, Human Computer Communications, Animation Software Design, Computer Graphics.

Career Opportunities:

Graduates find employment as software designers, developers, project managers, software security analysts and technical support staff.

Note: This degree can be pursued through one of our three federated colleges: Campion College, First Nations University of Canada & Luther College. Federated Colleges offer specialized programs and services, unique campus communities, and access to additional scholarships and bursaries. Federated college students are U of R students, pay the same tuition and fees, and receive a U of R degree.

Admission requirements vary by country and the Faculty you are applying to. Applicants are expected to meet the minimum of High School transcripts/GCE A Level or equivalent for admission.

Any of the following will be accepted as satisfactory evidence:

Successful completion of at least three years of formal, full-time English at a secondary school that is a recognized school or institution where English is primary language of instruction.

Successful completion of the English as a Second Language (Advanced EAP) program or a minimum average score of 55 on the ESL placement exam both offered through the Centre for Continuing Education at the University of Regina.

Successful completion of at least 24 credit hours (University of Regina degree level equivalent).

Advanced Placement English (grade of 3 or better) or International Baccalaureate Higher English (grade of 4 or better) or SAT II English (required score varies).

GCSE/IGCSE/GCE O' Level English, English Language, or English as a Second Language with minimum grade of 'B' or GCE A/AS/AICE Level English or English Language with minimum grade of 'C'.

If you do not meet one of the above, you will be required to submit language proficiency test results.
