Based on the strong interrelationship between information technology (IT) and new media design, the DMIT program explores a dynamic range of current and emerging fields. Students can build a pathway that is of interest to them and can create unique skill sets upon graduation, making them highly versatile in the job market. The DMIT Diploma is offered full-time as a 2-year program, starting in September. As a multidisciplinary program, the Digital Media and Information Technology (DMIT) program offers students the opportunity to develop highly specialized skill sets for a wide variety of careers. You will select an area of emphasis that best suits your personal needs and areas of interest. If you want to complete multiple areas of emphasis, you are free to customize your studies to meet your overall goals.
The DMIT program prepares students for work in both the Digital Media and the Information Technology fields. These fields encompass careers that benefit from the overlapping skills required for traditional Information Technology (Computer Software Development, IT Business Analysis, IT System Administration) with the creative breadth of Digital Media (Animation, Digital Cinema, Game Design and Programming, Visual Communications and Web Design & Development).
The DMIT program has 9 areas of emphasis to choose from, and all graduates of the program receive a parchment from Digital Media and Information Technology regardless of their chosen path.
