This highly-personalized program is based on mentorship and peer-to-peer learning. You’ll receive rigorous training in research design, qualitative and quantitative methods. Your hands-on research experience will be guided by mentors to develop skills and a research portfolio.
Your program can also include international research exchanges, industry practicum opportunities and teacher training.

Completion of an acceptable master’s degree (or equivalent) from an institution recognized by UVic

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): We require a minimum score of 90 from the internet-based TOEFL (IBT). You must also score at least 20 points each in the listening, speaking, reading and writing sections.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System): We require minimum overall band score of 6.5 on the IELTS. No individual component can have a score lower than 6.0.
MET (Michigan English Test): A score of 64 on the MET will be accepted as proof of English proficiency.
Application deadlines
We offer admission on a two-year cycle. Our next admission point is September with the deadline for that cycle being January 30
