The Master's Degree Course in Hospitality and Tourism Management - dual degree has a flexible structure that allows students to build a personalized specialization path:

A common first year at the IULM University to build a solid base of knowledge and skills on which to graft specialist insights.
A second year to be designed according to one's personal interests and attitudes through the choice of one of the 3 specialization courses, optional courses, internships in Italy or abroad, the degree thesis.

The Master's Degree Course in Hospitality and Tourism Management allows - through the choice of specialization addresses in Hospitality and Tourism Management in the United States or the one in Innovation et Territoire in France - to achieve a double degree in centers of excellence at an international level.

Course in Hospitality and Tourism Management - in English

The second year takes place in Orlando (United States), at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management of the University of Central Florida (UCF). Students obtain an Italian (master's degree) and American (M.Sc.) double degree and the possibility of obtaining a one-year work visa to complete the experience in the United States. Through this curriculum, students are prepared to rapidly assume leadership roles in the best companies in the sector internationally.

Course in Innovation et Territoire - in French

It takes place in France at the Université Grenoble Alpes. Students obtain double Italian (laurea magistrale) and French (maîtrise) degrees. The program is conceived as an open innovation platform which, through courses, workshops, multidisciplinary seminars held by international teachers and professionals, prepares students to take on managerial roles in tourism promotion agencies and institutions responsible for territorial public policies.

Educational Objectives

The Master's Degree Course in Hospitality and Tourism Management is designed according to the following educational objectives:

  • transfer the knowledge and skills most sought after by companies and institutions in the tourism and hospitality sectors to students with different educational and cultural backgrounds;
  • stimulate critical, active learning oriented towards the application of the most advanced managerial models and tools to real business and territorial contexts in order to face specific management problems;
  • propose a general vision of the tourism system and its evolutionary trends and an understanding of the interconnections between tourism and some related production chains (agri-food, fashion & design, luxury, art and cultural heritage);
  • allow participants to identify and build the specialization path that is most consistent with their personal interests and attitudes in the area of ​​tourism business management or territorial development.

Specialization in “Hospitality and Tourism Management” at UCF, Orlando, Florida

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a min. 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

TOEFL min. 220 (computer based) or 80 (internet based), or IELTS min. 6.5 Average grade: 26/30 of all courses taken during year 1 at IULM

Specialization in “Innovation et Territoire” at UGA, Grenoble, France

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

Certificate of French language proficiency, minimum B2 level, such as Test de Connaissance du Français (TCF) or Diplôme D’études En Langue Française (DELF)

Average grade: 25/30 during year 1 at IULM
