Ne öğreneceğim?

How are war and justice regulated in times of international turmoil? How can the international community develop effective governance mechanisms, including law, to better honour peace as a fundamental human right?

Building on the general knowledge and insights gained during the common part of the programme, this specialisation seeks to advance in-depth knowledge on the legal regulation of war and peace, the quest for justice (substantively and procedurally) as well as strengthening the rule of law in international economic relations and sound and sustainable development of the world economy.

Programme outline

Our seminars will provide you with a thorough understanding of the regulations of war and peace, the legal mechanisms currently affecting the world economy, and the overall quest for justice. We also offer an academic track that emphasises international dispute and arbitration. You will also develop your professional skills through academic debate, and professional application, as well as oral and written presentations.

Career prospects

The programme is specifically designed to provide students with advocacy and litigation skills necessary to pursue a career in the areas of peace and justice. It offers students from all over the world the opportunity to benefit from the unique environment of The Hague as host of international institutions. The programme provides a port of entry to internship and job opportunities with international organisations, international courts and tribunals, Defence teams and NGOs or in academia.
