Programme overview
The goal of the Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours) programme is to equip a selected group of academically able students to progress efficiently to PhD training. It is intended for people who aim to fill leadership roles in research and development.
You will learn how to apply in-depth biomedical and biological science knowledge for the improvement of human health through the development of novel approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
With these hypothesis-led research endeavours, you can enhance the links with research communities and grow research outputs for the benefit of the region and the country.

Advanced taught courses from the Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours) Schedule (30 points)
Supervised research project (thesis: 90 points)
Complete within one year if enrolled full-time or up to two years if enrolled part-time.

Where could this programme take you?
Biomedical science has made transformative contributions over the past decade, stimulating growth in a wide range of industries including agriculture, pharmaceuticals, veterinary science and medical research. There are a variety of opportunities in universities, research institutes and private sector pharmaceutical/biotechnology industries, particularly in the United States and Europe, for those with postgraduate training in this field. You must have completed an undergraduate degree in science with a major in biomedical sciences (or similar field of study) at a recognised university (or similar institution). You will require a GPE of 6.5 or higher in 75% of your most advanced-level courses.
IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no bands below 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
