Programme overview
From Mathematics to Medicinal Chemistry; Biotechnology to Geography and Food Science to Photonics, the sheer range of specialisations available in the BSc(Hons) programme means you're sure to find your niche. What's more, you'll be able to deepen your knowledge and skills in your specialist area.
After graduating with a BSc(Hons), it's possible to progress to a Master of Science (MSc) degree. If you achieve First or Second Class First Division Honours in your BSc(Hons), you'll be eligible for direct entry to a PhD.
Programme structure
The Bachelor of Science (Honours) programme involves one year of full-time study, or two years of part-time study, after you have completed the requirements for the Bachelor of Science.
Depending on your chosen specialisation, you must complete:
120 points from the 700-level courses for your chosen specialisation, including a project or dissertation of between 30 and 60 points.

IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no bands less than 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
