This course is suitable for those who want to work within the field of electrical installation. This full time course is designed to give you an introduction to electrical installation theory as well as the opportunity to develop your practical skills. The City & Guilds is a technical certificate which will give you the underpinning knowledge required to develop a wide range of skills including installation, testing commissioning and maintenance.

During the course you will study the following: Unit 201: Health and Safety in Building Services Engineering, Unit 301: Understand the Fundamental Principles and Requirements of Environmental Technology Systems, Unit 302: Principles of Electrical Science, Unit 303: Electrical Installations, Fault Diagnosis and Rectification, Unit 304: Electrical Installations - Inspection, Testing and Commissioning, Unit 305: Electrical Systems Design and Unit 308: Career Awareness in Building Services Engineering.

The course is assessed through on-line examinations and internally assessed assignments. On completion, those who wish to progress on to courses to further heir engineering prospects can take a City and Guilds 2357 NVQ (must be employed in the electrical industry). Likewise they can also take a City and Guilds 2394 and 2395 - Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.
