Investigate the links between physical and human landscapes from a social science perspective, on this explorative and engaging programme. Focus on issues such as land use, planning and development, globalisation, climate change, energy, and tourism, with modules in sustainable development, energy use, climate, community empowerment, and geo-political development. Develop the highly transferable skills that lead to regular high employment rates for geography graduates, including planning and problem-solving, data collection and analysis, IT proficiency, report writing, presentations, and debating, as well as the ability to use specialist mapping and statistical software. Use your knowledge to pursue careers across almost any organisation or sector, with opportunities in renewable energy, waste management, energy efficiency, tourism, rural and community development, agriculture, local government, planning, logistics, the armed forces, transport, and environmental agencies.**Please note that UHI North Highland, UHI Outer Hebrides and UHI West Highland have changed their names to become UHI North, West and Hebrides.
