Students should have a Bachelor’s degree with GPA 2.8 for courses requiring a 2:2 classification, and GPA 3.2 for courses requiring a 2:1 classification. Some courses have additional entry criteria such as a portfolio, work experience or require you to have a degree in a related field. IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or equivalent.

A 2.2 honours degree or equivalent. Relevant degrees include, but are not confined to, the following: social sciences, behavioural science, nursing, geography, public health, allied health and health sciences. Applications are welcome from mature candidates who do not meet the minimum entry requirements , but have relevant work experience and evidence of prior learning. Each application will be judged on its merits. A personal statement that demonstrates your interest in the course with a strong commitment to working in the broad field of Global Health. There may be volunteering opportunities available as part of the course, and while many of these are readily accessible, some might include working with vulnerable groups, including children. Applicants choosing to be involved with the volunteering opportunities within the programme will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) check. Overseas student will also need to submit a Criminal Records Certificate from their home country prior to arrival in the UK. If English is not your first language an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with 5.5 in each band (or equivalent) when you start the course is essential.
