For entry to a postgraduate degree at the University of York. Your course length is determined mainly by your English language level (UKVI IELTS score or accepted equivalent).
All students take a set of common or similar modules to gain key skills for university. If your course is longer than 2 terms, you’ll take extra modules designed to improve your English language level, academic skills and basic subject knowledge.
Common modules taken by all students: > Contemporary Issues in Society > Language and Study Skills > Research Skills > Mastering the Social Sciences for the 21st Century
Extra support: for 2.5-term courses, you will also take a 5-week English language module to give you additional preparation for university: > English Language Pre-Sessional for Pre-Masters.
