This degree or certificate is designed to train students to meet the need for qualified public relations and other communications professionals through instruction in nonfiction writing, media production, media theory and media literacy. Students must complete all required core courses, and choose other courses from the additional courses listed to total 25.5-26.5 units.
Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, students will be able to analyze and differentiate the primary influences of dominant mass media on major cultural practices and social and political institutions; research and explain the historical influences of dominant communication technologies on society, culture and human behavior.
