The Real Estate program at ODU embraces a comprehensive multi-disciplinary approach to real estate education. The faculty bring real world experience to the classroom to engage you in a curriculum that will assist you in developing the analytical and professional skills necessary for a career in real estate or economic development.

A large real estate market exists in Hampton Roads and we encourage early and frequent involvement with the associations located in this region. Besides undertaking the work in your courses, you will find multiple opportunities to interact with industry professionals, including: Internship Opportunities; Hands-on Classroom Projects; Attend Conferences and Presentations; Courses Taught by Practioners.
Additionally, top-performing real estate students are invited to national conferences on economic development and land-use, where they can meet nationally renowned entrepreneurs, state officials and economic development leaders.

Traditional freshman applicants are typically under the age of 21 and currently enrolled in high school or have graduated from high school within the past two years and have not attended any regionally accredited college or university (not to include dual enrollment).
English proficiency test scores: TOEFL of 79 (550 paper based); IELTS overall band of 6.5; PTE score of 53; new SAT Reading Test of 26 or SAT Critical Reading of 480; GRE Verbal Reasoning of 152; GCSE or GCE “O” level pass in English language; CPE grade of A, B, or C.
