As a student in the Sport Management program at the University of Dayton, you'll learn the skills it takes to pursue positions in collegiate and professional organizations, event management and marketing firms, sport media and sales, as well as many areas of entertainment and recreation management.
You'll take courses in sport management and business. Through studies in sport management, you'll gain an understanding of facilities, finance, human resource management, law, marketing, media and sales — and how they relate to sports. For a minor course of study, you'll select a competency from a variety of disciplines, and minor in business administration.
Internship opportunities
To gain hands-on experiences and prepare for a successful career, you'll participate in two internships — one on-campus and one off-campus. These experiences are geared toward your future goals in the sport management field.

Sport Management professionals gain positions in collegiate and professional organizations, sport clubs, and athletic federations, as well as public and private recreation. Opportunities are also available in arenas and convention centers, event management, and all forms of media.

Students must have qualification equivalent to secondary schools.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum score of 80 on the Internet-based (iB) test.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS). A minimum Band 6.5 score is required for full admission.
iTEP. A minimum score of 4.5 is required for full admission.
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE). A minimum score of 60 is required for full admission.
Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). A minimum critical reading score of 550 on old SAT or 30 on Reading Test of new SAT.
American College Testing (ACT). A minimum English score of 24.
