The exercise science program prepares students through the study of human movement to pursue careers in health and fitness, personal training, strength and conditioning, cardiac rehabilitation and professional graduate programs.
The exercise science major is designed to prepare students for employment in commercial, corporate, clinical, community and government agencies with interest in the areas of physical activity and health promotion. The program prepares students to sit for certification examinations such as American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Physiologist Certified and the National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Professional Preparation
Affords students the opportunity to pursue a variety of employment opportunities in health and fitness, corporate wellness, research, clinical and strength and conditioning industries.
Exercise Science also prepares students for graduate studies in exercise physiology, physical therapy and occupational therapy as well as for medical school, pharmacy school, chiropractic school, a career as a physician's assistant, and many other opportunities.
Career Opportunities
Careers in this allied health field will prepare students for a variety of jobs within wellness programming, coaching and personal training. Our program also serves as a great foundation for other allied health careers and is designed to meet requirements of graduate programs if students wish to further their education.

You are a high school student or have completed high school or equivalent and have never enrolled in a college/university. SAT or ACT is not required for standard admission or admission scholarship consideration for all types of applicants. An official SAT or ACT score is required to be considered for direct admission into your intended major.
All undergraduate international applicants must provide proof of English proficiency by meeting the minimum score from one of the following acceptable tests. This requirement can be waived if you meet certain criteria.
