A Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) gives professionals an opportunity to develop a specialty in a particular subject or discipline providing the opportunity to alter the direction of a career path or enrich and strengthen capabilities already in use.
Digital Libraries
The CAS candidate will complete 15 credits of course work, planned in conjunction with an advisor, and approved by the Dean of the School of Information Studies as an individually designed program suited for the needs and professional objectives of the student.
Archives & Records Administration
The CAS candidate will complete 15 credits of course work, planned in conjunction with the Archival Studies Program Director as an individually designed program suited for the needs and professional objectives of the student.

A master of library and information science degree or a master’s degree in a closely related field such as computer science or educational technology with a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average is required for admission.
Archives

English proficiency requirement: TOEFL IBT - 79 – 120; IELTS - 6.5 - 9.0; Cambridge English Advanced/Cambridge English Proficiency - C1 level or higher.
Application Deadlines: March 1 – Fall Semester; September 1 – Spring Semester.
