Major Requirements
Complete all Graduate College and NREM Departmental requirements.
Statistics 401 (or equivalent) is required.
Demonstration of competence in an area of specialization is defined by completion of two additional forestry courses at the 500 or 600 levels.

Preparation for an advanced degree in Forestry should include work equivalent to a B.S. in biological or environmental science, including courses in biology, botany, environmental science, ecology, hydrology, economics, and wood science.
A minimum cumulative grade point average equivalent to at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (B grade) is required for admission.
