Ne öğreneceğim?

As the new academic year begins, the UA Little Rock School of Social Work affirms its commitment to all students, staff, and faculty. As social workers, we recognize the harm that bigotry, oppression, racism, anti-Semitism, sexism, homophobia and heterosexism, classism, ablest, and religious oppression cause on our beautiful campus and in our communities, cities, and country. Social work has a long history of challenging injustice and pursuing social change, and our faculty remains committed to challenging oppression and discrimination against all people. We will continue to play a leadership role by drawing on our core values of social justice and respect for the dignity and worth of all people. We will continue to work tirelessly to create inclusive environments where all students, staff, and faculty feel safe and valued. If anyone needs to talk, please do not hesitate to reach out to any one of our faculty. You can find our contact information and more about us in the links on the left.

Social work is a growing, dynamic profession that offers many challenges and many rewards. The School of Social Work at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock is committed to the development of students seeking exciting careers as professional social workers. Faculty delivers social work education in a style that challenges students to think differently about problems and develop innovative interventions. Across Arkansas, over 3,000 social work professionals serve their communities and neighbors in need of assistance through public and private agencies and organizations.

The mission of the graduate program of the UALR School of Social Work, building on a strong generalist foundation, is to prepare graduates for leadership roles in clinical practice and in management and community practice within the social welfare system in Arkansas. Our commitment is to discover and disseminate knowledge, embrace diversity, to serve our communities and organizations, and to eliminate the barriers that oppressed and vulnerable people face.
