The Master of Science degree is designed primarily for students who are pursuing an academic or research career in ecology, conservation biology, or natural resource management. It offers a thesis and non-thesis option, allowing flexibility in both graduate education and preparation for a variety of career trajectories. Specialization is available in a range of research areas: ecosystem science, ecosystem management, physiological ecology, community ecology, animal behavior, genetics, systematics, evolution, and spatial sciences.

Applicants must have an accredited bachelor’s degree
A minimum 3.0 GPA.
English proficiency can also be demonstrated by:
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of at least 550 (paper-based test) or 80 (internet-based test)
Minimum IELTS Academic test score of 6.0 overall band (Texas A&M University does not accept the IELTS General test), or
GRE Verbal Reasoning score of at least 146 (subject to departmental approval), or
GMAT Verbal Score of at least 22 (subject to departmental approval), or
Acquiring alternative verification during the admission process from the Graduate and Professional School via a departmental request.
