The Master of Science in Mathematics is offered at Washington State University, along with an Applied Mathematics Option, a Computational Finance Option, and a Mathematics Teaching Option. In all of our degree programs we combine a sound general core of fundamental mathematics with electives that reflect individual interests, needs, and opportunities. Each track allows for specialization within the field of mathematics, but all establish a general foundation that should be valuable to students in any mathematical work they do.
Student Opportunities:
Depending upon the student’s interests, students may take an internship at various business or agencies, and students may apply to attend National or regional meetings in their field of interest.
