This program is designed for students desiring to apply for entry into the professional curriculum in Cardiopulmonary Science (Respiratory Therapy/Cardiovascular Technology) offered through the LSU Health Sciences Center. The degree program provides education and training in the areas of prevention, diagnosis, management, and rehabilitation of people with heart and lung disorders. In addition, the baccalaureate therapist and technologist is a potential educator or supervisor in cardiopulmonary departments. Additional information about the pre-cardiopulmonary science curriculum may be obtained in the office of the College of Sciences.
