The Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education degree program is designed to prepare individuals to work with students in grades 6-12 in a specific content area. Students may choose to study Biology, Chemistry, General Science, Mathematics, Language Arts, Social Studies or Physics.
The Department offers the Bachelor of Science degree in Education leading to Alabama Class B certification in the following areas: Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Secondary Education, and Special Education. The department offers the Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a major in Early Childhood Studies.

Applicants must have completed a secondary schools with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5. English Proficiency Requirement: Minimum IELTS: 5.5, Minimum TOEFL: 61, Minimum Pearson Academic: 44, Minimum iTEP: 3.6, Minimum Duolingo: 95.
