Gotland University was established in 1998 and is one of the youngest universities in Sweden. It is located in the World Heritage city of Visby on the island of Gotland, a geologically and ecologically unique island that is surrounded by the Baltic Sea. Gotland University offers studies with English as the language of instruction, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, in fields such as Archaeology, Business Administration, Energy Technology, Design, Art and Game development.
