How easy is it to find part time work in Liverpool, and how do you manage balancing your studies with work?

In Liverpool the uni uses an app called handshake to put up all their jobs on offer. There’s loads available from ranging with bar work to campus tours, or advise teams. I would recommend working with the uni as they work around you!

I find it quite easy to find work, because I've utilised careers guidance to make a good CV, and have work and volunteer experience. It's hard to balance work with studies, especially on a clinical course like mine. The best thing I did was set a maximum number of hours I was willing to work and ensure I had revision sessions booked in.

Really easy. Whether it’s a job on campus or in the city, there is always an option to suit you. But if you are struggling to find some options then it is always worth speaking to the Careers and Employability team!

How you balance your studies depends on your individual circumstances. But for me, I always check what I have to do for my studies before I accept any work shifts. It’s also really helpful to keep your diary or calendar updated with deadlines and any work you have agreed to as this helps you to plan out the week ahead.
