The Gender, Sexuality and Diversity Studies (GSD) major explores how our bodies and identities are categorised and lived out in social, political and ethical relations. In this major, you will examine the complex inter-relationships between sex, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, nationality, class and disability. You will explore the themes, concerns and perspectives emerging from feminist, LGBTIQ, anti-racist and decolonial social movements so that you can hone your skills in critical thinking, effective writing, media and textual analysis, historical and sociological investigations and legal interpretations. The GSD major is unique in the way it draws on a wide variety of disciplines. This offers you the ability to explore a diverse range of perspectives and provides you with a breadth of knowledge and range of skills applicable to a range of professional, public and personal settings.
