An applicant for admission to CIM undergraduate or graduate programs must be over 18 years age and satisfy at least one of the following academic admission requirements.

• Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent with an ATAR of 65 or above.
• Satisfactory completion of an approved Tertiary Preparation Program, Tertiary Orientation Program, or a Foundation Year Program through an accredited institution of higher education offered at Australian Universities, TAFE Institutes or government approved Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
• Completion of a Certificate IV or higher.
• Admission to candidature for an undergraduate course at an Australian university which achieve equivalent point.

Undertaken secondary or higher education (tertiary) studies in English

1. A completed and recognised secondary education (high school) qualification, or
2. A completed and recognised foundation/preparation program with the required grades in relevant English subjects, or
3. A completed AQF diploma /advanced diploma (or equivalent) from a recognised institution, or
4. At least one year of full-time study (or part-time equivalent) in a recognised bachelors degree or other approved higher education qualifications.

The above studies must be undertaken in English within five years of the date on which students will commence their course, in an English-speaking country as listed below:

American Samoa, Australia, Botswana, Canada (excluding Quebec), Fiji, Ghana, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland), United States of America, Zambia or Zimbabwe.

If students have completed studies in a different country, they can prove their proficiency through satisfactory achievement in:

• A completed and recognised secondary education (high school) qualification undertaken in English, such as the Cambridge GCE Advanced Levels and International Baccalaureate diploma, or
• A completed and recognised foundation/preparation program with the required grades in relevant English subjects, or
• At least one year of full-time study (or part-time equivalent) in a recognised bachelors degree or other approved higher education qualifications, where the instruction for studies (teaching, assessment and examination) was entirely in English in approved countries and/or institutions, assessed on a case-by-case basis by the Institute.

The above studies must be undertaken in English within five years of the date on which students will commence their course.
