With our online Bachelor of Emergency Management, you'll learn both the principles and practices of emergency and disaster management, and examine and analyse community resilience, disaster prevention, preparedness, response and recovery. This bachelor's degree in emergency management is designed to meet the needs of public bodies concerned with the protection of life and property - such as federal, state and local government, the police, fire, ambulance, state emergency services and community and health services - as well as private sector groups, such as the insurance and manufacturing industries.

To be admitted into the course a student must have at least two year's work experience (paid or voluntary) with emergency management roles and responsibilities (demonstrated by a detailed resume and capability statement outlining emergency management roles and responsibilities undertaken) in an emergency management related industry, organisation, agency or enterprise.
Applicants who have completed the Undergraduate Certificate in Emergency Management AND have one year of relevant work experience (as noted above) may also meet the entry requirements.
