This major is for anyone who wants to work in banking and finance, investment and portfolio management, corporate finance, risk assessment or business analysis. It will teach you how to use research methods to understand financial problems, as well as debt and equity capital markets, funds management, real estate as an asset class, and private equity. You’ll gain an understanding of behavioural finance, and how this underpins financial decision-making, including trading strategies, investment decisions, managerial behaviour, and institutional frictions that influence economic outcomes. Graduates enjoy careers in corporate finance, investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, and management and financial consulting.
