Moreton Bay College has a long tradition of academic success. Our secondary learning programme is designed to prepare our student’s for tomorrow’s world. We strive to equip the girls to be active global citizens in a modern society that demands collaboration, problem solving, adaptability and entrepreneurship.

YEAR 7 AND 8

At Moreton Bay College, we create an environment for our Year 7 and 8 girls that is relevant, challenging, enjoyable and engaging. The curriculum provides students with the opportunity to experience many subjects and develop their strengths before entering specialised courses in their Senior Phase of Learning. We are committed to developing a love of learning that promotes a student’s sense of belonging, self-esteem and resilience. The curriculum is responsive to the needs, interests and talents of all students for the 21st century and is guided by the Australian Curriculum.

YEAR 9

The Year 9 curriculum offers students the opportunity to specialise by selecting subjects in which they wish to deepen and refine their skills and knowledge. Content and assessment is based upon the Australian Curriculum while also preparing students for the Senior Phase of Learning. The model of engaging in core and elective subjects enables students to have sufficient breadth whilst discovering areas of enjoyment and proficiency.

YEAR 10

The Year 10 curriculum offers students the opportunity to focus on areas of interest in preparation for the Senior Phase of Learning. Skills, content and assessment are closely aligned to the patterns and ways of learning in Senior subjects. A broader range of subjects are available for students to choose in order to specialise in areas they may wish to pursue in Years 11 and 12.
