Advance your skills in psychology
USQ Master of Clinical Psychology provides advanced training in psychological assessment and clinical intervention and has been developed for students wishing to gain registration as a psychologist with an Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology.
The coursework component is offered as mandatory on-campus workshops, mid-week at USQ Toowoomba and on Saturdays at USQ Ipswich. Learn high-level clinical skills to become prepared for entry into the Clinical Registrar program leading to Clinical Endorsement.
Work integrated learning
USQ runs Psychology and Counselling Clinics in the local community offering services in therapy, consultation and cognitive assessment for children, adolescents and adults of all ages. Services are provided by postgraduate students who are provisionally registered psychologists. All of our services are conducted under the supervision of USQ staff who are registered Psychologists or Clinical Psychologists, and are approved supervisors under the Psychology Board of Australia.
Professional accreditation
USQ is currently applying for the Master of Clinical Psychology to receive re-accredited with the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) as a fifth- and sixth-year program in psychology.

Career outcomes
Graduates of this degree can work as a fully registered General Psychologist in the public and private sectors, and as a Clinical Psychologist following completion of the Clinical Psychology registrar program.

Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited 4-year bachelor degree, or equivalent.
Hold, or be eligible for, immediate Provisional Registration or General Registration from the Psychology Board of Australia.
IELTS (Academic only) - 7.0 (or better) (no component lower than 7.0); TOEFL (paper based) - 600 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) - 250 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 5); TOEFL (internet based) - 95 (or better) (with 22 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) - 65 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 65); Cambridge English Scale Scores for FCE, CAE and CPE3 - Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE)/C1 Advanced or Proficiency (CPE)/C2 Proficiency with a score of 185 or above. No less than 185 in each skill.
