Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Psychology

The PhD in clinical psychology will prepare you for clinical practice or academic and research careers. You’ll receive core training in the following areas of psychology: Social, developmental, biological and cognitive bases of human behaviour Psychological assessment Diagnosis, intervention and prevention Psychopathology Ethics and professional issues Cultural diversity Research methods and evaluation Supervision and consultation You’ll complete candidacy exams and prepare a dissertation based on your research. After you defend your dissertation, you’ll complete a one-year clinical residency.
