Software is critical to most modern technologies, as it lies at the heart of technological function. With this increased reliance on modern, advanced technologies, there is an ever-increasing demand for specialists able to develop software, understand and support computer systems architecture and design, and distributed services– tasks which are done by software engineers.Given the expected and accelerated growth of sectors related to software over the next decades, there is also growing demand for professionals who have these skills. As a result, the new Master of Applied Science in Software Engineering program at Memorial University is timely.
