Your enrolment for the BSc side of the conjoint will depend on your chosen major(s). You may choose either a single major or a double major in Science. Biomedical Science, Data Science, Food Science and Nutrition, Green Chemical Science, Medicinal Chemistry and Quantitative Statistics are not available as Science majors within a conjoint degree. Information Systems can only be taken on the BCom side of your conjoint degree. A major focus is on understanding what goes wrong when disease strikes. Physiology is highly quantitative and has close links with biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, mathematical modelling and pharmacology, as well as zoology and plant biology. A large part of medical research is centred on Physiology. It is an active and developing science that promises to be one of the most exciting disciplines for the foreseeable future.
