If you want to study science at university level without having to commit to a full-time degree, you might consider the Certificate in Science (CertSc). It is also an option if you want to take a few courses for interest, or study part-time. Study Involve: Choose from a range of subjects that suit your specific science interests ranging from Astronomy, to Environmental Science, Medicinal Chemistry, and Psychology. Complete a minimum of 60 points of courses at 100 and/or 200-level from Bachelor of Science subjects. This Certificate can be completed within one semester full-time, or part time for up to 6 years. Courses can be transferred to some degrees and is a great pathway to the Bachelor of Science. Financial Engineering combines financial and economic theory with computational tools to design financial products, portfolios, markets, and regulations. UC offers the only Financial Engineering programme in Aotearoa. Study Involve: Combine topics from economics, maths, statistics, and engineering. Create financial models, market simulations, and computer programs.
