The PGCertEng is made up of a combination of 400 and 600-level courses, with specific combinations to meet the requirements of the endorsements.

A Bachelor of Arts or an equivalent degree with grades to a specified level in the subject concerned is required for the PGCertArts. English language requirements: IELTS academic with an average score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in reading, writing, listening and speaking; TOEFL (iBT) total minimum score of 90, minimum score of 19 in reading, writing and listening; TOEFL PBT with a minimum score of 575 and TWE with a minimum score of 4.5; CCEL EAP Level 2 with a minimum B+ grade; CAE or CPE score of 176 with a minimum of 169 in reading, writing, listening and speaking; Pearson Test of English (Academic) - PTE with an overall score of 58 and no PTE communicative skills score below 50; NZCEL Level 5.

Students must normally have a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours or Bachelor of Science with Honours degree in relevant subjects, or in exceptional cases have qualified for the award of another appropriate qualification.

Applicants must also satisfy our English language entry requirements:

IELTS (Academic): Minimum overall score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
TOEFL (IBT): Minimum overall score of 90, with a minimum score of 19 in Reading, Listening and Writing.
PTE (Pearson Test of English - Academic): Overall score of 58 and no communicative skills score below 50.
