The Bachelor of Arts in Professional Studies with a major in Computing (BAPS) program is designed for adult students who seek to advance their careers in a range of fields involving computer and networking technologies. The Bachelor of Arts in Professional Studies with a Major in Computing is a joint degree between the Jarvis College of Computing and Digital Media and the School of Continuing and Professional Studies. The program builds knowledge and skills in computing and technology-based systems for application in a range of organizational settings. Students examine their prior and current work-based experience in light of theory and principles. This program intentionally helps students integrate liberal arts learning--with an emphasis on agile and critical thinking--with a professional specialization.As you work toward your bachelor of arts in computer science degree, you’ll see an emphasis on the integration of specialized knowledge with workplace-ready skills such as professional communications, data-driven decision-making, professional ethics and innovation.
