Nearly everywhere you go, you will find or use something designed by a civil engineer. From bridges and roads to water and wastewater treatment facilities and dams, airports and other major infrastructure, civil engineering influences how we live, work, travel and play. The field spans environmental engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, hydraulics and ecohydraulics, hydrology and water resource engineering, geotechnical engineering, and pavements and construction and materials engineering - all working together to support safe, resilient communities. In this program, you will learn how to design and evaluate a wide range of civil engineering systems and processes. You will apply your technical skills across areas like sustainable water management, resilient transportation networks, ecosystem-aware hydraulic design and advanced materials. Your work may help develop sustainable solutions that help people and make life better for all - such as providing clean water to cities, protecting society from natural disasters, improving our infrastructure or designing transportation systems of the future.
