Histotechnologists work behind the scenes to help doctors treat and diagnose patients. In the Roosevelt program, you’ll learn how to apply dyes and chemicals to tissue to find microscopic abnormalities. This program is available to all students on our Chicago campus, and will be offered at our Schaumburg campus for new incoming Transfer students beginning in Fall 2025. Complete your first three years of course work at Roosevelt and finish your final year at Northwestern Memorial through our exclusive partnership. Roosevelt is the only bachelor’s level histotechnology program in Illinois. You’ll have in-depth training and an advantage going into the job market.

Self-reported academic information from high school. Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities in the United States. A freshman applicant is defined as an individual who has completed or will complete a high school degree or its equivalent and has fewer than 12 transferrable college credit hours. The admission requirements for freshman applicants are as follows: Roosevelt requires applicants to attain a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 2.0 for at least 3 years of study. Self-reported information is accepted for most programs but an official transcript will be required if you are admitted to Roosevelt University. If you took dual enrollment classes at your local community college as part of your high school diploma, you will need to submit transcripts from your community college in addition to your high school transcripts. Roosevelt is test-optional. If you have taken the ACT or SAT we encourage you to send your scores, though these are not required for admission.
