Cognitive science is the study of how the brain represents, transforms and processes information. Students seeking a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science with a Cognition emphasis complete their study within the College of Science's School of Mind, Brain and Behavior. This major provides students with a broad interdisciplinary foundation while allowing them to choose an emphasis that suits their interest. The Cognition focus encompasses cognitive functioning, development and disorders across the areas of decision-making, reasoning, attention, perception, memory, language and consciousness.
