M.A. in Teaching Middle/Secondary Mathematics

Rivier offers the Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) Middle/Secondary Mathematics in two tracks-one for current teachers and the other for career changers. In this program, current teachers will enhance their teaching knowledge and skill sets, while those new to teaching will receive preparation for certification to teach mathematics in grades 5–12. For current teachers, the M.A. in Teaching Middle/Secondary Mathematics increases classroom competencies, their knowledge of the learner, knowledge of pedagogy, and knowledge of mathematics. Prospective teachers will deepen their knowledge of social studies topics and develop teaching strategies and skills for classroom success.
