This face-to-face emphasis is being Introduced for MST students who are pursuing a career In higher education. Previous work experience Is not validated In this program and the emphasis does not provide certification or If censure. The student's undergraduate knowledge will be the foundation for the area In which they intend to teach. The coursework will Include research method and statistical analysis to assist them In their doctoral program, along with pedagogical coursework, curriculum development, classroom management/organization, public speaking, as well as some practical observation and teaching experiences in a college classroom/lab. If a student wishes to pursue teaching, this emphasis will ensure they are successful in the classroom, whether as a future doctoral graduate teaching assistant, or as a university Instructor.
