Microbiology and Immunology (M.S.)

The MS in Microbiology & Immunology Program offers choices for career specialization with flexible schedules, professional training for academic credit and academic preparation for national professional certification. The program may be completed on a part-time or accelerated (coursework) schedule over a period of 1.5 to four years. Courses are offered late afternoon/early evening and meet once per week, allowing students the flexibility to work while taking classes or devote their full attention to their studies. Flexibility is the key.
Our education and training programs provide a solid foundation for our graduates, who have gone forward to continue with additional graduate and professional education and training programs or directly on to successful careers including positions at colleges and universities, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, healthcare settings, government agencies, and many other professional venues. Research training at Jefferson University is anchored by a large and diverse portfolio of active research programs with extensive outside grant support. That foundation, combined with our clinical research and patient-care programs, provides opportunities for professional development and basic and translational research experiences in a challenging, exciting and satisfying undergraduate and graduate training environment.
