The Certificate of Graduate Study (C.O.G.S.) in Teaching in Urban and Diverse Settings at Rowan University prepares teachers to examine their classroom practices, along with school and district policies, and to develop skills that create the possibility for more equitable and just outcomes for diverse students. Courses in the C.O.G.S. in Teaching in Urban and Diverse Settings examine curriculum, pedagogy, and how systems of power and privilege prevent students, families and communities from equitable opportunities for access,success, and equity.
