PSG Institute of Advanced Studies (PSGIAS) was established by PSG and Sons’ Charities trust in 2006, to promote high quality research in niche areas of science and technology as well as to create opportunities for PSG Institutions to collaborate with universities abroad. The institute’s mandate is to identify and establish research and development facilities and niche areas in science and technology and recruit core faculty and staff. Students at PSGIAS complete the first two or three years of study at PSGIAS at the existing PSG College of Technology campus at Coimbatore, India. The remaining years of their education are to be pursued at the foreign university from USA, UK, Australia or Germany by transferring their credits obtained from PSGIAS. On completion of the programme, the student will be awarded a degree from the concerned international university in the area of study.
