Bath Merit Scholarships

The Bath Merit Scholarship is worth £5,000 and is available for overseas fee-paying students permanently domiciled in selected countries who have an outstanding academic record. This award aims to reward students who can demonstrate a background of achievement and success.

The awards are available for full-time taught master's courses* in the Faculties of Engineering and Design, Humanities and Social Sciences and Science and can only be used as fee waivers towards the cost of tuition fees.

To be eligible for the award, you must:

hold an offer from the University of Bath for a full-time, campus-based postgraduate taught master's course
be permanently domiciled in one of the countries listed below and be a graduate or studying your degree at a university in the same country. You must have studied the whole of your degree in the country:

• Chile
• Colombia
• France
• Germany (for courses in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences only)
• Greece (for courses in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences only)
• India
• Indonesia
• Italy
• Kenya
• Malaysia
• Mexico
• Nepal
• Pakistan
• Philippines
• Saudi Arabia
• Spain (for courses in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences only)
• Sri Lanka
• Turkey
• United Arab Emirates
• United States of America
• Vietnam

have overseas fee status
have a final degree or current grade/GPA equivalent to a UK high 2:2 degree
have not previously studied at the University of Bath
