Butte College

Butte College is a student-ready, rural community college, and a Hispanic-serving Institution, offering over 200 degree and certificate programs. Approximately 15,000 students a year study at the accredited community college located just 75 miles north of Sacramento. Students of Butte College have the chance to earn associate degrees, take general education classes to transfer to a CSU, UC, or private university, or undergo training for career options. Butte College’s alumni have successful careers in nursing, welding, law enforcement, business, computer science, computer science, heavy equipment and more. Butte College is acknowledged as a national leader for community colleges in sustainability mainly due to student engagement in the community, embedding of sustainability into the curriculum, development focused on green jobs, sustainable land use management, renewable energy and energy efficiency.
